Overflow-proof item filter

This is a simple item filter. It can sort a single type of item that stacks up to 64.

The design is tileable. You can place multiple slices next to each other without affecting one another.

It is also overflow-proof, meaning the system won't break if the output chest is full.

Important building notes:

• The hopper with the items must either point toward or away from the comparator to not interfere with other hoppers. Toward is usually the safer option.

• The first slot must contain the item you want to filter and you need 41 of it. If you are using the filter with a farm, you may use only 1 item instead, but the slot will need to fill up before items get to the output.

• The remaining slots must be filled with a single item that can also stack to 64. These items must never enter the sorter. Renamed items are usually used for this purpose.

• The lower hopper contains an additional filter item, but it is not required for the filter to start working.
